EL CASOL DE PUIGCASTELLET IBERIAN VILLAGE (FOLGUEROLES)

El Casol de Puigcastellet is a fortified Iberian village formerly inhabited by the Ausetani tribe and located near Folgueroles, in the initial foothills of Les Guilleries. Its location lent its inhabitants a commanding view of the natural entrance to the Vic Plane and the Girona lowlands. The village reached the height of its splendour during the 3rd and 2nd centuries BC.

This site forms part of the Archaeology Museum of Catalonia's Iberian Route.
