LA DRAGA NEOLITHIC VILLAGE ARCHAEOLOGICAL PARK (BANYOLES)

The 6th millennia BC Neolithic village La Draga was discovered some 20 years ago on the banks of Banyoles Lake. An exceptional site, thanks to its aquatic environment's pro-conservation properties, archaeologists have managed to recover wood tools, basketry items, pottery and artefacts associated with the community's daily life, all in impeccable condition. An idiosyncratic feature which makes this site an exceptional testament to the Neolithic period in Catalonia.

The archaeological park lends visitors an opportunity to tour a number of the cabins which have been reconstructed aside the lake. Here, the site organises workshops and activities which replicate Neolithic life and activities.
