NATIONAL ARCHAEOLOGY MUSEUM OF TARRAGONA

With a marked focus on the Romans, the MNAT is Catalonia's oldest museum dedicated to this area, a superb testament to the Iberian Peninsula's Romanisation process.

The historical and monumental significance of the city of Tarraco and the site's intrinsic urban archaeological difficulties have steered the Museum's research towards this historical period. Prominent Roman remains include the semi-basement's Roman wall, conserved in situ , the public buildings' architectural and decorative features, the mosaic room containing the famous Medusa emblem and Roman sculptures.

The Museum is also part of the Network  Roman Europe. Roman Museums in Europe .
