The significant collection on display showcases the most representative paleontological and archaeological findings from all the prehistoric and ancient cultures that once inhabited the Baix Camp region and neighbouring territory.

The origins of today's museum lay in the personal collection of prehistorian and initial museum director Salvador Vilaseca, artefacts which can be admired alongside other exceptional findings, including remnants of Quaternary animals, the remarkable collection from the Bronze Age Cau d'en Serra burial cave, the field collections and a deer engraving, among others. All in all, an extraordinary archaeological and paleontological testament to the region.
